The owner

Meet Bryan Nichols

Founder, owner, and a certified trainer on the floor.

“Macon Iron was always my dream — a gym that would help you both physically and emotionally.”

Bryan Nichols spent almost 30 years as a degreed mechanical engineer. Two weeks short of 30 years, he was told he made too much money — and let go. Instead of chasing another desk, he took his severance package and went all in on himself.

On May 1, 2017, he and his wife opened Macon Iron Fitness. They have carried the gym through COVID, tough economies, and every season since, and today Bryan is a certified trainer coaching members on the floor he built. Come May 1, 2027, Macon Iron celebrates ten years.

“Iron sharpens iron.”

The standard we hold each other to, every training day.
